How to eat out and it not cost a fortune.

Check out restaurants for offers which offer cheaper deals before 6.30 pm. You will find some offers listed as pre-theatre dinners or early dinners. The reason for special offers is this is normally a quiet time so they like to try and get people in - hence the offers and deals.

Watch out for buffets - all you can eat - these are often cheap and can be a great way of trying new dishes you wouldn't normally want to risk a whole portion of. Make sure you pick good restaurants though - one which is empty will have a long standing time for food.

Also look out for local catering colleges as these often run very cheap restaurants to allow their trainee chefs real experience. Can be well worth checking out.

Check your bill - this can ensure you don't pay than you should - check the adding up is right and that you have actually had everything listed. Its not impossible than a busy restaurant won't make a mistake. If you pay by card check your statement after that it doesn't accidentally get charged twice.

If you're on a budget - don't drink alcohol! ask for a jug of water!

Restaurant
Gordon's Restaurant and Terrace Bar provides fine dining in the Hospitality Centre at Gravesend. The Restaurant, staffed and run by Catering and Hospitality students, has a table d’hote menu with full silver service during most weekday lunchtimes and on Wednesday evenings. The Terrace Bar offers bar snacks during lunchtimes.

Perth local college restaurant where it looks like they can provide lunches and evening meals (although limited periods of the year). They provide a sample menus as well.
