Why we like Morrisons

We live near a Morrisons Supermarket and find that its great to do either a big shop, or a quick trip to fill up on essentials.
They have loads of clearly marked parking bays for mothers and babies - which makes shopping with the kids loads easier. They also have loads of disabled parking spaces too as well as wide aisles and wheelchair trolleys.

Morrisons have separate counters for fresh fish, hot pies, hot chicken and other meats, and a cold deli counter too. They have a great range of fruit and vegetables and we particularly like the melon segments on sale as we find a whole melon can be just too much for us but we can manage a melon half.
(And we all know how important it is to eat fresh fruit and vegetables)

Other great veg deals are sensibly priced half cucumbers. I don't know if you've noticed but some other supermarkets charge you almost as much for a half cucumber as a whole one, but Morrisons don't!

There's no waiting for the vouchers to be posted. You pick them up from the kiosk, and you can spend them straight away in any Morrisons store. It's as simple as that.

Morrisons Company History

Company History
William Morrison, father of current chairman, Ken Morrison, founded the company in 1899. Ken Morrison was awarded a Knighthood in the 2000 New Year's Honours List, for services to food retailing.
From its origins as an egg and butter merchant in Bradford, West Yorkshire, the company developed into market stalls and on to counter service. Progress was such that in 1958, a small town centre shop was opened.
In the 1960s, Morrisons was at the forefront of supermarket development, opening its first store, "Victoria", in Bradford in 1961.
In 1967, Morrisons became a public company and was more than 174 times over-subscribed as over 80,000 investors tried to purchase shares.
The company has since achieved a 35 year unbroken track record of sales and profit growth and in April 2001 joined the FTSE 100 for the first time.
